Book Review: Laying the Foundation for Creation - Building Science Barriers

Parker is an advancing creator with unique qualifications that can reveal two aspects of evolution and creation. He holds a Ph.D. in biology and lectures on his answers at Genesis International and Genesis.

Using the build metaphor, each chapter begins with a rubric cube type image. Finally, a feature that "forms your foundation" guides the reader to establish basic facts. Finally, a page of the question "Building Inspection" summarizes the key points. The bonus program provides students with interesting homework to further explore the ideas presented in the book.

Three main areas of three units:

  1. World view war
  2. dinosaur!
  3. Human origin
From the "worldview war", Parker began the stage and continued the contrasting views throughout the book.

The key to Parker's debate is understanding the scientific approach and how it does not apply to evolutionary claims. Since scientific methods require observers to observe events and must be repeatable for others to observe, the origins of humans and our world are not in the realm of science, to the extent that many people assume. Both evolutionists and creationists must have "confidence" in their understanding of our origins. Our basic beliefs do influence how we understand what we observe in our lives today. Parker did a good job, and what we observed today did not invalidate the Creator's description of human origin and our world.

Dr. Parker introduced the readers to key evolutionists: Charles Darwin, Charles Lyell, Francis Crick, Thomas Henry Huxley, Ernst Haeckel and Henry Fairfield Osbourne. He also mentioned famous scientists as Christians.

According to Frye's Readability Scale, the book's score is at the high school reading level. Younger students may also like this book because the terminology used has many syllables. Parker is a good explanation of the complex concepts that most of us can follow.

Have you ever wondered why the Bible would not talk about dinosaurs if the Bible lives with humans? The answer is simple: the word "dinosaur" was not used until the 19th century. The behemoth mentioned in Job 40:15-24 describes the best dinosaurs we know, because of the strong tail like cedar. Elephants or rhinos are sometimes presented as candidates, but there is no tail like cedar.

Quote quotes:

"The scientific evidence of the world of God supports the historical record in the Word of God: The Bible: The perfect creation of God, corrupted by the sins of mankind, destroyed in the floods of Noah, restored to the new life of Jesus Christ - summed up in four C: Creation, corruption, disaster and Christ. "P. 15

"Creation and evolution models create historical and philosophical elements that transcend science, but both can predict the evidence in our world that can be tested by repeatable observations and empirical scientific methods." P. 38 Parker provides many charts. A clear contrast between the two models is illustrated.
