Most people in the United States live in residential developments, and the average plot is shaped like a square or rectangle. This is considered normal and irrelevant.
But sometimes the house may sit in an unusual shape, which can cause the chi [life force] around the house to benefit or be affected by the occupants.
A triangular section may make it easier for occupants to argue or have an accident. Of these two possibilities, it is best to locate on a triangular plot, with the wider section behind the house rather than narrowing the plot to a later point. This arrangement can make it harder for passengers to save money. If you can imagine the energy entering the property from the front and then being squeezed or confined behind, it is like emptying through the collander.
The "flag block" may be a substantially square shape with an extended area or zone for the lane. From the bird's eye view it looks a bit like a banner. In traditional Feng Shui, understanding the true compass direction of a property can reveal many things, because direction is a symbol of family members and body parts. For example, if a flag plot creates an extended northwestern part of the package, it may mean that the father or husband in the house is very powerful. This is because NW itself is associated with the man in the house. If the southwestern part extends, just by the shape of the plot or as the lane to the flag, this means that the woman in the house is very strong because SW is related to the wife or mother.
Some plots will be perfect squares or rectangles, but they are negative one-way sections. When the direction part is missing, it can indicate the weakness or absence of a family member. For example, the direction of the East is related to the eldest son in the family structure. A piece of land lacking its eastern quadrant will indicate that it may be difficult for a couple to envision a boy in a house on the land.
Some batches have unusual or imperfect shapes that can be adjusted and produced even with landscaping techniques. Going back to the narrowed triangular shape, there is plenty of room for plants, walls, fences or bushes behind.
