How citizens can stop racism, crime and gun violence!

Who can bring Americans together to heal the wounds of racism, crime and gun violence? from

Is Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or some other politician? Politicians have a lot of ideas, but they have limitations. Bringing together Americans can be achieved through "our people!"

In 1970, a suburban community with 17,500 residents lacked a local police station and they encountered crime problems. A committee of ten volunteers worked hard to get residents to attend community meetings to discuss how to stop neighborhood crime. As a pilot program, volunteers developed a plan to help neighbors work together because most of their thefts were committed by local youth. Although the local newspaper supports the project, only a few people participate.

After a teenager discovered that his mother was murdered in the kitchen, the community meeting was overflowing. from

Citizens are scared and need more police protection. County magistrates and magistrates told residents that they lacked more police funding. The pilot program began with the cooperation of county magistrates. An official will attend each neighborhood meeting to help educate prisoners about local crimes and encourage neighbors to be alert to suspicious activity. The relevant citizens participated in the "Neighbourhood Responsibility Plan". In two and a half years, the crime rate has dropped by 48%. [a] At the same time, crime rates in other communities are also rising.

Some committee members speak on television and radio, while others become trainers and coordinators in the California Criminal Justice Planning Office.

To the surprise of experienced volunteers, the county police station supports civic leaders to vote, they will become security maintainers. from

Volunteers were also told that citizen participation does not apply to cities.

from

CA. In the absence of police leadership, six crime prevention coordinators organized and trained 27 volunteer committees throughout the county. The county committee works independently of the police and has its own office and staff support. Coordinators work in the cities they specify and meet once a week to solve problems. They meet with volunteers every month and publish a county-level newsletter that includes achievements and projects to help people learn from each other. Citizen participation helps prevent the spread of crime, drugs, gangs and juvenile violence in the county.

The police work is to respond to crimes, and citizen participation can prevent crime. from

Many police departments have worked with citizens over the years. However, in the field of crime prevention, citizens without police leadership are not common. There are many benefits to training citizen coordinators. In areas where residents are afraid to share information with the police, they will talk to a trusted citizen coordinator. Trained citizens have the ability to educate and change attitudes in their area. They speak the language and care about the family and the youth.

Today, cities like Baltimore, Ferguson, Chicago and Detroit need civic leaders to take on more urban safety responsibilities by helping to establish a healthy balance between citizens and the police. from

City leaders need to support well-trained coordinators to prevent crime and corruption.

Encouraging and developing civic leaders to help people unite should be the top priority for every city from

If we want to stop hostility towards police, racism, crime and gun violence.
