One of the most popular parts of the automotive market is the CUV or compact utility vehicle. Like SUVs, CUVs offer greater baggage space and capacity, but with better fuel economy and more ride-like quality. These characteristics make them very popular in the automotive market, leading many companies to invest in CUV models. Volkswagen is a company that is trying to take advantage of the new Tiguan to take advantage of the CUV market. Based on a golf chassis, the Tiguan has an SUV-like function and is sporty. The first aspect of the Volkswagen Tiguan model range is that ABT Sportsline's fleet focuses on diesel and petrol engines. The Volkswagen Tiguan offers three 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engines with output powers of 110, 140 and 170 hp respectively. The ABT Power kit includes a variety of modifications, including software tuning, which ultimately produces a total of 140, 170 and 195 horsepower for better acceleration and top speed performance. Next is the gasoline engine series, which has a displacement of 1.4 liters, a top displacement of 2.0 liters and a turbocharger. After the ABT Power upgrade kit with software tones, the production of 122, 150 and 160 hp 1.4-liter engines produces 160, 180 and 210 hp output. With the ABT Power upgrade, the final 2.0 TFSI turbocharged engine delivers 180 horsepower and provides 230 horsepower for all four concave truck wheels.
The next step is to upgrade the design of the Volkswagen Tiguan. Here, ABT Sportsline engineers and designers work together to create a stylish and dynamic look with new bodywork. There is a new grille and a spoiler lip on the front panel to create a downforce, and on each side of the CUV there are new door inserts, vents and side skirts, located between the new concave truck wheels. The rear of the Tiguan is fitted with a new bumper insert and roof spoiler.
The final upgrade package is the chassis of the Tiguan. ABT Sportsline installed a new sporty lower spring to reduce overall center of gravity, increase control power, and install a new set of wheel spacers on the front and rear axles. They then installed a set of concave truck wheels to make the Tiguan stronger, and then equipped them with new performance tires for better grip.
