Poetry in contemporary society

In this ever-changing 21st century, with the rapid development of technology, we tend to receive information in a short-lived explosion. We quickly read emails and text messages, surf the web, and often rush through links from one page to another. We also tend to read some newspapers, magazines and longer substantive articles.

We are a channel surfers community that marks hundreds of different professional channels in our living room via cable and satellite. We have observed this a little bit, and a little bit, our thinking process has been interrupted by often boring commercials, designed to convince us to buy things we might or may not need.

When it comes to any long-term direct reading and critical thinking, we seem to be getting farther and farther away. When did you last sit down and enjoy a well-written literary novel?

Have you recently spent time reading a quality book about short stories from an insightful writer? In addition, when was the last time you read a collection of poems, whether it was a classic selection of contemporary poets or a collection of modernist poems, or a compilation of poems?

Consider poetry - it is concise writing that means inspiring, entertaining and inspiring deep thought. Poetry should be read - then reread and then reread. If done well, a poem can resonate with a person for many years, and they turn to comfort, pleasure, knowledge and inspiration again and again.

It is the famous poet Robert Frost [1874-1963] that from

"A poem begins to be happy and ends with wisdom."
from

The beauty of the words and the order of the words led to the discovery, which made the reading of poetry really worth the effort.

Here are five reasons why poetry is important:

We have strengthened reading, speaking and writing skills.

First of all, reading good poetry will shock us, and usually we don't realize it. Reading it will allow us to absorb the rhythm, rhythm and nuances of words, phrases and sentences. The more we read quality poems, the more we can use text and text libraries to form an elegant way.

This is reflected in the quality of our own reading, speaking and writing. The more we read excellent poetry, the more skilled we are in using the language.

We learn to look at life through the eyes of others

Sometimes it's good to have another perspective on a topic. Reading the poet's carefully arranged text allows us to enter their world. We learn to consider other ideas, opinions, and arguments, while at the same time gaining these ideas in a fashioned form. This is a way to experience different ideas, but also to enjoy creative work according to your own advantages.

We appreciate the language and how it works

Edgar Allan Poe [1809-1849] said that from

"Poetry is the rhythm creation of the text in the United States."
from

Of course, the content of a poem is different from an article, a story or a newspaper. Although these works can flow and have their own elegance and beauty, according to their structure, a poem is different. Samuel Taylor Coleridge said: "Poetry: The best vocabulary." A poem is like this - a simple and precise way, in essence, presenting wisdom and heartfelt thoughts.

We learn to spend time

Like all good literary works, poetry needs our attention. It requires us to sit down and devote time to reading, then meditate and think about what we have just read. Similarly, it also claims to be reread, so we will certainly more fully collect the intent of this poem.

When we used it as the type of "fast food" we bombed every day, we did high quality writing. This is why poetry should be read in a quiet room, without distractions, book forms, text on paper, we can touch and feel our reading.

We wake up our creativity

Reading a poem can often motivate a person to try to write a poem himself. This begins the creative process, and the individual begins to logically organize his or her thoughts and feelings in language. This creativity inspires critical thinking and helps us better understand ourselves and the world around us as we delve into a topic.

A poem can also inspire a person to do other creative tasks. A person may not write a poem, but the poems they read may inspire them to indulge in crafts, painting, picking up instruments, carving, or pursuing photography or other creative activities. Appreciating the creation of poetry can stimulate other exciting creative activities.

Make poetry reading a part of your life. This is a soothing response to our often chaotic and hasty lifestyle. Leave a time in a quiet room every week - only you and that poetry collection, formal or free, indulgence. You will find that you relax gracefully, because words, rhymes, meters, rhythms and phrases flow together to tell a story or highlight one aspect of life. Poetry allows us to slow down and think, which only causes us to grow into inferential individuals.
