Satellite antennas or satellite TVs are one of the most important devices for dish TVs. It is an integral part of satellite TV viewing. A satellite antenna is a parabolic antenna used to receive and intercept microwaves from communications satellites in Earth orbit. Satellite TV transmits these data transmissions to the satellite antenna and then displays the images on our TV screen in real time.
Dish network antennas are now very common and can provide you with the highest quality audio and video output. This satellite dish is very convenient and can be installed almost anywhere. If you prefer, you can also install a satellite TV set yourself. However, the whole process can be a bit annoying. You can also save a lot of money in the process. A professional satellite installation will cost you a lot of money. But installing satellite antennas yourself can actually save a lot of money. In order to install a dish antenna, you need to use some consumables and several steps must be followed.
Supply:
You will need a complete satellite system, coaxial cable, satellite signal meter, magnetic level, wrench, drill bit, nut drive drill, tension bolt and other necessary accessories.
installation method
First, you need to find the correct location to install the satellite TV antenna. The antenna should face the southern sky, so you should have a clear line of sight.
You need a solid and strong foundation for the mast. Using a spirit level allows the mast to be vertical in all directions. You need to tighten the necessary bolts. However, make sure the mast is perpendicular to all directions. After that, you need to install a dish antenna on the mast. You must route the coaxial cable through the dish antenna and pull it out from the low noise converter blocking the position of the feed horn. After connecting the LNBF to the cable, you need to connect the feed horn to the culture dish. Use the Dish Network Installation Guide to get the correct tilt and elevation settings.
You will also need to install the meter on the other side of the coaxial cable. Then you have to turn your meter and sweep the plate to the left and right. If your satellite TV detects a satellite, the meter will give you an indication. In this way, you can see where the antenna gets the strongest satellite TV signal and adjust it accordingly, then you need to fix the bolts on the plate.
You also need to check if the vertical and horizontal adjustments are interdependent. When you encounter the maximum signal reading on the meter, you need to move the reflector slowly, then you need to tighten the bolt so that it can get a strong signal.
Connect the cable from the TV to the satellite TV receiver. You can use a zipper and screw clamp to secure the satellite TV mast for better cable grabbing. You need to connect the cable to the dish TV receiver. Then you need to connect the receiver to your TV. After completing this step, you can enjoy satellite TV programs from the dish network.
