Take care of your outdoor furniture

As the summer is coming to an end, we often find ourselves lacking real knowledge of outdoor furniture care!

As an outdoor furniture manufacturer and supplier, we can help you. The following are some general guidelines for all types of outdoor furniture, as well as some more specific instructions for challenging situations.

  • First, please read Manufacturer's guidelines. These nasty little essays contain gem information that we often overlook.

  • clean Warm water to wash the dishes with warm water to take a long road! Rinse with a sponge or soft brush, then dry with a lint-free cloth.

  • Cover, lid, lid! Covering your patio furniture adds to their useful life and preserves the elements and even some accidental craftsmanship.

  • Do not: Electric cleaning, use chlorine bleach, use pine oil. These methods are often too extreme for your garden furniture and should never be used unless stated in the manufacturer's instructions. If you absolutely must use them, try testing in the hidden areas of the furniture to see what happens.

How to take care of outdoor furniture of different materials?

Flash your wicker

In a sense, wicker furniture is tricky, allowing dust and objectionable particles to pass through the frame and be embedded. The tangled nature of the frame is a safe haven for such particles and pests.

In order to keep your wicker in good condition, vacuuming is a long-term secret! Vacuuming helps to absorb unwanted dust particles from the corners and gaps in the wicker surface. After vacuuming, quick wiping with a damp cloth is ideal. Ideally, you want to immerse the cloth in a mild detergent solution containing warm water [1/4 detergent and 3/4 water]. For hard stains or defects, use a soft brittle brush with the same warm water/detergent solution.

For extreme situations, when you have a natural wicker and see it dry and split, spray or spray your wicker frame and dry it in the shade on a cool breezy day. Be careful not to do it twice a year, as this may weaken the glue of the furniture!

Adjust your teak

As one of the most organic aspects of furniture, teak is prone to mold. Thorough scrubbing is a must! Once a year, scrub thoroughly with a bristle brush. Why only once? Teak has this wonderful automatic recovery power; that's why it's so sought after!

Teak is naturally oily, and depending on the quality, it can keep itself for a long time without your help. Many homeowners believe that teak should be oiled often, but this is not always the case. Different teak and different finishings determine whether your teak should be oiled. Consult the manufacturer for advice.

Mixed with metal

Metal outdoor furniture varies from steel to aluminum to chromium to others; there are some simple ways to protect them without having to go through each method in detail.

While most metal patio furniture has a protective layer, your annual maintenance can help extend maintenance time.

A full inspection every spring can avoid long-term damage. Pay attention to rust and bubbling in the varnish. If you see them, use sandpaper to remove the damaged area and then apply the manufacturer's varnish or paint.

Bird droppings are highly acidic and can really damage the finishing and pay attention to those seasons. It is also recommended to wipe it several times a year with a damp cloth.

In the hotel business, outdoor furniture in hotels, restaurants or beaches should always be maintained in order to last longer and maintain a positive image.
