Safari is a premium 5-door SUV developed by Tata Motors. This car happens to be the first SUV designed, developed and mass produced in India. The safari first touched the road 15 years ago. Although it has not received many fans in several aspects, the performance of Safari is increasingly appreciated.
When Safari was introduced in 1998, it was equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that was turbocharged. A few years later, in 2003, the car received some upgrades, such as power steering, better mechanics, improved interiors and more. But Safari is still underpowered by it, and the harsh engine has caused a lot of criticism. In response, Tata Motors launched an overhauled Safari in 2005 with a 3.0-liter DiCOR engine. DiCOR stands for direct injection common rail and this engine is indeed Tata Motors' first engine with common rail fuel injection technology. As of now, buyers can order their Tata Safari DiCOR, which is only equipped with a 2.2-liter, 138-horsepower, 4-cylinder diesel engine and a 5-speed manual transmission.
One part of the vehicle that has been shining since the date of its release is its off-road capability. Despite the various judgments, the Tata Safari DiCOR commentary has been highly acclaimed in this regard. The SUV has a high ground clearance of 205 mm, a high approach and exit angle of 31°, a 30° breakthrough angle, and can pass a foot of water. Thanks to its transition on the flying 4x4 joint system and the hills with a slope of up to 26° [78% gradient], one can use the 4-wheel drive without having to park. Another key feature that helps the car solve rugged terrain is its limited slip because the tires slip when the ground provides the least grip.
Safari has undergone numerous updates and upgrades to make it more attractive to potential customers. The car has a dual air conditioner with a separate blower unit pointing in the middle and last row mounted on the roof. A very useful feature is the parking locator. At least once, everyone will forget the exact location of their car in a large parking lot and then rush around to find it. But with Safari, just press the button on the car's remote control and the car's roof light will illuminate and disappear after 5 seconds. This makes it easy to find a car in the dark. A puddle light mounted under the door illuminates the area that a person will step on when getting off the bus so they don't step on what they don't want! Another feature called "Go home with me." Once the door is locked, the lights can keep the headlights for half a minute so that passengers can illuminate home from the garage.
For safety reasons, Tata Motors gives Safari an ABS, a more robust chassis and body structure and a reversing camera. Customers can choose from one of seven standard or two-tone colors - Cycus Grey, Arctic Silver, Pearl White, Quartz Black, Arctic White, Quartz Black with a true Earth combination and Cycus Grey with a combination of Arctic Silver. The price range for Tata Safari DiCOR is rupee. 10 rupees to rupee. Rs 170,000, depending on the variant. Despite the intense competition, the old timer proved itself by continuing to perform well due to its comfort, harsh interior and long-distance cruising.
