Common mistakes when doing social bookmarking

Since the invention of social bookmarking has always been a good way to promote content and some of your favorite websites. In the past year or so, it has not been affected by all Google updates. While every time you use it for content, other websites or videos, in order to get the most out of your bookmarks, you need to make sure you follow these tips.

Many webmasters often bookmark multiple social bookmarking sites to increase traffic and visibility, so most of these tips apply to this. The first common mistake in bookmarking is to bookmark only your own website, blog or content. I often notice that people mark each page of their website as self-promotion. Why is it so bad? Most websites mention that you are only selling your content and may cause your account to be locked or banned. So make sure you also bookmark other sites that don't belong to you, or even bookmark the sites on your other sites, which makes it natural.

Another common mistake that occurs when bookmarking multiple websites is to use the same title and bookmark description. Although it makes sense to use the same title bookmarks in general, you want some changes, especially after the Penguin update. In this case, you can provide a list of titles and descriptions and rotate them as you place them on multiple sites. This looks more natural, and you'll have better results for bookmarks in search engines because you can override more keywords with variations in the title.

This reminds me of the next mistake, avoiding the use of ads as the title of the bookmark. An example is "Franks - Boston's best hot dog." It's almost pure advertising, and people probably won't even read stories/bookmarks. The title of the bookmark may be one of the most important aspects of the bookmark. This is the first time I saw it on the website, and a good title will get a lot of exposure. For search engine optimization purposes, as long as it's related to bookmarks, you can use keywords in the title, just make sure you don't overuse any keywords.

My last tip to common mistakes is to bookmark pages with low quality content or to see something useful to others. A good example is a list of products for sale, no content, only some photos and prices. On the other hand, if there is a 30% discount, it may be helpful to others. Try to bookmark a page with useful information or entertainment value that includes the video.
