Fax via Gmail using the fax service

Millions of people around the world use Gmail. This free email service has become one of Hotmail's most popular services, and the number of users is increasing every day! Gmail addresses are used for different purposes, and online faxes don't necessarily differ.

The e-fax service has come a long way since faxing has been available through Internet technology nearly a decade ago, and now it can be used by users of all professional levels. These services allow you to send a fax by email and receive a fax via a virtual Internet fax number.

So how do we integrate these two accounts to fax via Gmail? Fortunately, this is easy, you only need to sign up for an email fax service, and if we are talking about a paid or free account, it doesn't matter. There are many companies that offer fax services such as eFax, MetroFax, RingCentral, etc. When you register one of them, you will be asked to enter the email address associated with your fax account. Just add your email to get started!

I recommend creating a separate Gmail account to keep your organization organized. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, you can create an address like you have, but add ".fax".

Once the two accounts are associated, the fax will be as simple as sending a regular email. The fax is sent first by opening a new message and attaching the file to be faxed to it. The best service providers can handle a large number of different file formats, but checking is always good before sending a fax. This document will be converted to image files compatible with fax machines and computers [most services use TIFF files].

And this is not all. You can also receive faxes on your Gmail account when you perform a similar conversion process in the opposite way. When someone dials your virtual number to fax, the document is immediately sent to the fax server, and the fax image is converted to a digital file, usually an Adobe Acrobat document, which can be easily opened on any computer.

As you can see, Gmail faxing is easy with fax services. Unfortunately, fax software cannot associate faxes with your Gmail account, so it must be considered an alternative.
