Super Mario Galaxy 2 continues to launch the 3D Mario series that everyone loves since Super Mario 64. The series ' level design and gameplay are always perfect and fascinating, and reviewers don't have much to say. According to Metacritic, Mario Galaxy 2 has become the most watched video game in history, because critics can't even dock the game at one-tenth. In fact, the Galaxy 2 is an extraordinary game, probably the best platform game ever.
In order to solve this problem, let us start from the negative. Like other Mario games, there is almost no plot. This won't be a real problem, but the game behaves just like it has a storyline, you still need to sit in conversations and cutscenes even if they don't happen at all. This is the story of the whole game: (now tell me) Princess Peach invites Mario to participate in a cake promised holiday. Bowser kidnapped the peach and took her to a distant place where Mario saved her. Through the story of Rosalina and her Lumas, the Galaxy 1 hole has a more storyline, but she is actually removed from the story here, and we are back to the most general non-story possibilities. No one really cares about Mario's game with a ridiculous and empty story, which is actually better than the recent Sonic game.
However, the game still forces you to pass random conversations between levels. In most cases, except Lubba gives you some dull encouragement or tells you anything you already know ("Wow, Power Star must open the gateway to the new world! Let's check it out!" ). Then make a more boring conversation in several other cases, such as whenever you want to play Luigi. In order to play Luigi, you must find him at the beginning of a level, click on the three dialog bubbles, and press "OK". Then after you defeated the level, Luigi spoke to the camera and said that you should play his role again at some point. After the first time, all of these conversations seem completely meaningless and time consuming. Therefore, the game has no storyline, but it still often makes you play the game to interfere with the conversation.
The only potential other negative impact worth mentioning is that this is the first 3D sequel to the 3D Mario game, so some people worry that it is too similar to Galaxy. Playing gravity games will definitely lose some of the flavor from the first start, but the rest of the game is so diverse and new, you don't have to worry too boring. Every galaxy has a new surprise, not just aesthetics but games. You are always vigilant and ready to cope with magma monsters or pumpkin goombas or boos or magikoopas or any combination of any enemies and landscapes.
It's gone now, you should understand that everything else in this game is almost perfect. Level design is very interesting, and even if you sometimes face the strange way of gravity to some extent, it is rarely frustrating or confusing. Some players may find this game a bit difficult, but if you spend any time chasing the game, the game is very rich. The results of the orchestra are amazing, maintaining the traditional Mario melody and wrapping them with great sound. Controls are both flexible and fun, just as they are always. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is no comparison between the platforms, which is exactly what we expect from this legendary series, and no less.
