XM also has a variety of talk shows, popular hosts include Ellen DeGeneres, Al Franken, Jerry Springer and more. Subscribers can listen to XM from anywhere without using a radio because the company offers online streaming services that online customers can access over an Internet connection. This service is part of a standard XM subscription. All XM music is completely commercial free - no interruptions to the radio, no interruptions.

XM Radio also works with General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Volkswagen/Audi to provide satellite broadcasting services on new cars this year.

Highlights of XM Radio currently include the Artist Secret Series - a private music show and interviews with great performers such as Joan Baez, Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant and Coldplay. Tom Petty hosts his own radio show, Tom Petty's Buried Treasures, at his home in Los Angeles every week. Classical secrets include top classical performers such as Joshua Bell and Cecilia Bartoli, live music and interviews. New programs scheduled for launch in the future include Oprah & Friends, which will debut in September.
