My point of view / tips for getting your business funds successfully

1. Team:from

Venture capital funds like Mara know that a great team will successfully develop and implement this idea. If you don't have internal capabilities, let a professional join you so your plan includes a strong team.

2. Executive summaryfrom

. Investors are busy people, so your summary, usually a page, should have a goal: "Let them want to turn pages." To do this, make sure that your executive summary captures key aspects of the documentation, including the team, the amount required, the process, the activities to date, and other information that provides a "snapshot" of the concept.

3. A repeatable model. from

The fund is looking for a good business idea that can change Africa. Can the business model be repeated, not only in Uganda, but also in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania?

4. Understand the fund and the people behind it. from

The core part of a successful business relationship is whether the two parties are "connected." Investors are people, and if they like the people behind them, they usually invest.

In July, I met Nigel Bauer, the head of the affiliated entity. He is a very cute and outspoken professional. Therefore, I can expect other members of the team to have this nature.

Otherwise, I wish you good luck.
