Look at the different types of satellite antennas

Satellite antennas are widely used in telecommunications, military, broadcasting, finance, public safety, energy and many other fields. For everyday people, these units are used at home, allowing you to view more TV stations. Although the antennas look similar, they are of different types. The following are the most common types:

Electric antenna

In its name, this is a motor-mounted device that allows it to rotate in different directions. Most of these units are controlled using a remote control. This allows them to get many sites. In most cases, these units are larger than others. Recommended for people with limited space.

Prime Feed Satellite

This is the most common unit in most homes. It is basically a parabolic dish with a diameter of 1.4 meters, usually with an LNC installed in the center facing the outside. Although it looks beautiful, the dish does not receive a lot of radio signals. This is because the LNC blocks a large number of input signals.

Fixed satellite

This is a device without a motor, so when you want it to be oriented in a particular direction, you have to do a physical rotation. They come in different sizes and larger dishes can choose more signals. Since these units are stationary, they pick up close signals.

Bias antenna

This LNC is located on one side of the satellite antenna. Due to the location, it does not interfere with the signal path. This means that the device can pick up a lot of signals. Image quality also provides high quality. In most cases, these units are smaller than the main feeder satellite.

Double bias antenna

These units are only an improvement of the conventional offset antenna. They are characterized by two dishes. One antenna receives the signal and the smaller antenna receives the signal and transmits it to the LNC. Since it has two plates, it is said that this antenna is 80% efficient.

Flat antenna

It is the most compact antenna because the LNC is located inside the antenna panel. Due to the location of the LNC, these units are ideal for people living near the center of the satellite footprint area.

in conclusion

These are some of the satellite antennas you can use. When purchasing, please make sure that the equipment you purchased is suitable for your area.
