Prevention is the best treatment for computer viruses

you are sick. You have a fever, chills, and a headache so much that you can't think directly. No matter who claims to be willing to help you, you will not get up. Your computer may experience the same problem - a virus. And, in the worst case, it can cause your computer to refuse to start.

The word "virus" in the computer world comes from what you might think of - the term is used for diseases such as the common cold. Like biological viruses, computer viruses spread by making and sending copies of themselves to other computers.

Computer viruses cause a lot of trouble in the computer and infection occurs without the user's consent. The copies you make yourself may be identical to the original virus, or they may be different. They are usually spread over the Internet or through the Internet.

The disk can successfully open the game 49 times; the virus is activated on the 50th. It causes the screen to go blank and then displays a poem: "It will overwrite all the disks. Clone!"

Brain is the first virus in the PC. It was designed in 1986 by the brothers Basit and Amjad Farooq Alvi. The purpose of creating viruses is to protect the legitimate software they write from being illegally copied.

In the early days of the virus, the usual way of infection was through some form of media that could have been moved from a computer to a computer, just like a floppy disk. However, today, viruses are more easily spread over the Internet or through computer networks, so most viruses are designed for this purpose.

Due to the popularity of the Windows platform, most viruses are designed to take advantage of weaknesses in the Windows operating system. However, this is not to say that no virus affects other operating systems. The truth is, no matter what operating system you run, your computer is vulnerable to attacks unless you take steps to prevent the virus from getting infected.

Virus protection software is available throughout the industry. The most common ways these antivirus programs work are: 1] using signature definitions to detect viruses, and 2] using a heuristic algorithm that identifies typical virus behaviors to detect viruses.

Programs defined using signatures rely on users to use updates and patches provided by the software manufacturer to keep the list of definitions up-to-date. These can usually be obtained for free through the purchase of software or through paid subscription software.

The algorithm method can find viruses that do not have a signature.

Other ways to protect your computer from viruses include backing up data and operating systems on media that is not stored on your computer's hard drive. This way, if your computer is infected and the data is lost or you cannot start your computer, you can restore your computer.

If your computer is infected, it is not welcome to continue using it before you remove the virus by completely reinstalling the operating system. This is a time consuming process that usually results in data loss. So, like the virus in the human body, "one ounce of prevention is worth a pound of treatment." Antivirus protection programs are critical to the health of the computer.
